Painted Rock Petroglyph Site
Located just northwest of Gila Bend, Arizona this small park is known for it’s archaeological site containing ~800 petroglyphs. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1977 this site is operated and maintained by the Bureau of Land Management who have added a campground, information boards, and a walking trail.

All sites are first come-first served; but if you can get a spot, it’s a great place to spend a day or two relaxing in the desert.
